Enjoyed our charming little rooms in this place.
We needed Wheelchair Accessible room with master bedroom and a fireplace, for instance and it was available. The design was unique. We walked everywhere, the location was absolutely perfect and magnificent, down the mountain. Had tea and goodies at Tea & Coffee Exchange, nestled 1 mi of the hotel.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Hillcrest Lodge. The cozy and warm atmosphere made us feel like we were in our own private cabin. Ken, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel like we had found the perfect place in Big Bear. The room was clean and cozy with adorable bear-themed decor. We also loved that the hotel was dog-friendly and nestled among beautiful trees. Ken and Valerie went above and beyond to help us with our needs, even giving us hiking directions. We can't wait to come back and stay again at this hidden gem.
Can recommend this hotel.

During our Christmas stay, we absolutely loved the friendly and helpful staff. They went above and beyond to make sure that our first time in Big Bear was a great experience. Additionally, the location was perfect. We were able to walk to a variety of shops and restaurants, making it so convenient to explore the area. Another great feature was the complimentary tea and coffee in the room, along with the wood for the fireplace. It was such a cozy and enjoyable addition to our stay.
The only downside we experienced was not being able to control the heater. It was on a timer that we couldn't adjust, likely due to strict rules regarding the weather and pipes.

We loved that it felt like our own house, with parking right outside. The location was close to everything in the heart of town but far enough not to feel completely like we are tourists. The hotel facilities were great, with a fully stocked kitchen and a cozy fireplace. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome.
Nothing, all good.
